MEN OF ST JOHN
Hello gentlemen. New to St. John the Baptist? Are you a fellow parishioner? Looking for community? Feeling too proud to show up for events because it's not your thing or time? Look no further. It all started somewhere, and many of us felt the same way. We want to be part of it, but we just don't take the leap of faith. Many men of all ages have gone through this since the beginning.
Perhaps most plain is the calling of the disciple Matthew, also known as Levi the tax collector. The apostle records his own conversion in his Gospel: "As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, 'Follow me.' And he rose and followed him" (Matt. 9:9).
We invite you, young or old, to join us every Saturday at 8 AM at the church rectory. As a group of men, we meet each week to read the Gospels of the week, share with each other, and give each other brotherly love.
Saying yes and showing up is the best thing you will say yes to. No pressure, no stress, and no judgment. We are all sharing God's love with you and everyone.
