BUILDING A PULPIT TO DELIVER CHRIST’S TEACHINGS
It is God’s people who make up the Body of Christ on earth; people serving one another, from generation to generation, living out our Catholic doctrine, sharing our gifts in service to one another. Our environment and facilities play an important role, helping support and enable ministries to thrive. Facilities provide the physical support needed to bring comfort and enrichment for worship, meditation, learning, and fellowship in pursuit of the promises of Christ.
WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT THIS?
In his wisdom, our Pastor is looking to address the future needs of our Parish. On your behalf, a Facilities Master Planning Committee (FMPC), comprised of parishioners, was formed to ask and to listen to our parishioners in an effort to understand the existing and future needs of our faith family.
The Master Plan Questionnaire completed by parishioners in October 2015 identified the highest priority needs to include Parking, Children’s CCE, Youth Activity & Meeting Rooms, Cry Room, Nursery, Church and Mass Chapel, Security, and Caring Hearts.
With a prayerful spirit, the parishioners, led by the FMP Committee, are working to create a master plan that will aid the support & growth of St John’s families and ministries.
No major direction, timeline, or decisions have been made. Our Pastor will shepherd us through discerning building needs as we prepare for our future.
Watch for more updates to come in the bulletin, on the parish website, and on the parish Facebook page.
